I had an incredible stay at a peaceful and beautiful place with a breathtaking landscape. The view from my room was amazing, and I could enjoy watching the sunset while sipping on Port Wine provided by the owner. The room was clean, spacious, and had a cozy atmosphere. Although the kitchen and dining room were off-limits, I could still sit down and eat outside in the large garden. The location was convenient, and Sergio, the owner, was a welcoming host who gave great recommendations for nearby attractions and restaurants. I highly recommend Casa Cardoso for a romantic and relaxing getaway.

An incredible landscape and breathtaking views await at this peaceful and beautiful retreat. The well-preserved nature and ancient Roman monuments in the area make it a great place to explore. The location is easily accessible by car and is close to the charming city of Lamego. The warm and welcoming host adds a personal touch to your stay.
Accessing the town by road from the south-west could be challenging and GPS directions may not be reliable. There are limited options for local restaurants nearby, requiring a drive to find dining options.

Our stay at this charming hotel in the heart of the Douro Valley was absolutely delightful. The location, nestled in a rural area surrounded by majestic mountains, provided a tranquil and picturesque setting. The village, just a stone's throw away from the valley of Douro, was a perfect base for exploring the region. The room was comfortable and spacious, with a breathtaking view of the mountains. The service was impeccable, and the complimentary nightly port wine was a lovely touch. We also appreciated the host's restaurant recommendations, which allowed us to taste the local cuisine.
The bathroom could use some updating, but this was only a minor drawback in an otherwise wonderful experience.

They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, from making dinner reservations for us to providing directions to nearby amenities. They even treated us to homemade wine and cookies before bed, which was a lovely touch. the rooms were spacious, clean, and had a peaceful atmosphere. We were lucky enough to have a room with a view, which was beautiful at night. the location was convenient, just a short drive off the main road, making it easy to explore the surrounding area.
That only the bedroom was available for rental, while the rest of the house, including the kitchen and dining room, was off-limits. This limited our options for meals and socializing within the property.
